The SYSTIMAX® LazrSPEED® Solution offers a cost-effective, low risk route to reliable LAN communications in the Gb/s range. An end-to-end multimode fibre solution, it enables cost-effective migration from 10Mb/s to 10Gb/s in premises networks.

To reduce total cost of ownership, the LazrSPEED Solution is backward compatible with legacy LAN applications. Its standards compliant 50-micron core diameter allows you to continue running your existing Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, FDDI, ATM, SONET, and Token Ring applications. LazrSPEED fibre also enables dual speed 1 Gb/s or 10 Gb/s ports, which allows disruption-free upgrading of your Ethernet networks to the new higher-speed 10 Gb/s standards.

The TE Connectivity (formerly AMP Netconnect and KRONE) XG System is a high performance multimode fibre optic cabling system which has been designed to meet the requirements of the 10 Gigabit Ethernet application while still supporting all legacy LED and VCSEL applications just like standard 50/1250µm. The system fulfills the specifications of IEEE 802.3ae for 10GBASE-SR (10 Gigabit Ethernet serial transmission on MMF at 850nm) and complies to the OM-3 fibre type and link class definitions of the 2nd edition of ISO 11801.

Fibreoptic cables can be presented using the latest Small Form Factor connectors providing not only high performance but a denser patch field. All connectors are terminated using precise fusion splice equipment. Testing can be carried out using OTDR (Optical Time Domain Relflectometer) or/and LSPM (Light Source and Power Meter) with results supplied.
