Our most common indoor and outdoor solution utilises products from the SYSTIMAX AirSPEED wireless range. This equipment conforms to the IEEE 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g standards that utilise the unlicensed 2.4GHz – 5.8Ghz frequency band providing speeds up to 54Mbps. The system strikes an impressive balance between cost, penetration, distance and performance. Building to building solutions are available that operate at distances up to 8km with the cost of installation typically much less than the cost of one leased line for six months. Security has advanced faster than transfer speeds and all products are field upgradeable to the new 802.11i standard which will support AES (Advanced Encryption Standard).
