About the Company: Solent University is a leading South Coast University that provides education to over 10,000 students each year.
Case Study Details: After many years of providing network cabling services to the University, Data Path were engaged to upgrade the campuses historic analogue CCTV.
In conjunction with the Universities IT and Facilities departments, a Mobotix high-resolution, decentralised solution was implemented. To date 130 cameras have been installed around the campus, either on new buildings, or upgrading existing analogue cameras. Cameras installed have been M16 dual lens external, V/P/I26 internal and C26 360°.
Each camera has been fed via a Commscope Cat6a network feed installed by Data Path, with switching and central storage provided by the University. All cameras are viewed at the CCTV control room via a four x 50” screen matrix.
